We are proud to announce that ACCESS has been officially approved for funding by the European Commission under the AMIF Programme!
We are delighted to announce that ACCESS – Accelerating Safe-Space Care, Equal Sexual & Reproductive Health Services and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support for Migrant Youth & Women has been officially selected for funding by the European Commission under the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF).
The ACCESS project brings together a consortium of organisations from across Europe with a shared commitment to improving migrants’ access to high-quality, inclusive healthcare. Over the next 36 months, the partnership will work to address barriers to healthcare, with a particular focus on sexual and reproductive health (SRH), HIV prevention and testing, and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS).
The project aims to empower migrant communities while strengthening the capacity of healthcare systems through a range of innovative actions, including:
- Improving health literacy among migrant communities.
- Developing multilingual digital tools to help migrants better understand and navigate healthcare services.
- Training healthcare professionals and community practitioners in culturally competent, trauma-informed approaches to care.
- Establishing a network of Community Champions to provide peer support, guidance, and trusted information.
- Promoting more inclusive healthcare policies and contributing to the reduction of inequalities in access to healthcare across Europe.
At STANDOutEdu, we are proud to lead the work package dedicated to the development of the project’s multilingual training programme and e-learning platform. Through this work, we will support healthcare professionals in delivering more inclusive, equitable, and culturally responsive services that better meet the needs of migrant communities.
The ACCESS project represents an important step towards creating healthcare systems that are more accessible, inclusive, and responsive for everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances. By combining expertise from across Europe, the consortium will develop practical tools, training, and policy recommendations that contribute to lasting positive change.
We are excited to begin this journey alongside our outstanding European partners and look forward to sharing the project’s progress, achievements, and impact over the coming months.
